'Little Panda in the World' and 'Little Panda Meets Little Tiger' are two heartwarming picture books full of imagination, discovery, and the everyday magic that children see in the world around them. Perfect for bedtime reading, cosy moments, and everything in between.
Gentofte, Denmark
Five-year-old Alban and three-year-old Noam share a vibrant room designed with both function and form in mind.
The layout is wonderfully simple: Both beds line one wall, freeing up the middle of the room for what matters most at this age: Play, focus and creativity. Books, toys and fun games fill the shelves, and are stored in baskets and on shelves so that they are easily within reach.
It's a room that has come to life naturally – filled with items Alban and Noam love; things their parents have inherited and vintage pieces that have been brought back to life through careful colour choices.

Alban and Noam's beds are from Baby Love, and have been painted with Satin Wood Oil from Linolie in colour 'Pompeji'. A pair of indoor shoes for each of the boys are placed on the floor in front of one of the beds.

Two towers of colourful Stapelsteins and a Moomin memory game sit on the floor. Behind, a pin board from XL Byg is placed on the floor and keeps drawings and pictures of family and friends safe.

A the large book shelf is placed in the corner, keeping all of Alban and Noam's books within reach. This corner is one of the boys' favourite places to play, especially Noam enjoys to play here.
On display on the lower shelf are three of Jakob Martin Strid's popular books: 'Den utrolige historie om den kæmpestore pære' in a new, special edition; 'Min Mormors Gebis', and 'Da Mumbo Jumbo blev kæmpestor'.
Also seen here: 'Tante Grøn, Tante Brun og Tante Lilla'; 'Puttes Eventyr i Blåbærskoven' og 'De Små Skovnisser'. A 'Casa Glora' block puzzle is placed on the floor.

'Den vildt store bog om Mimbo Jimbo' written by Jakob Martin Strid and published by Gyldendal, sits on top of a play house.
Walls are painted with Farrow & Ball colour 'Mizzle'; panels, door and radiator cover are painted with colour 'Picture Gallery Red' also from Farrow & Ball.
"It was important for us to create a space that feels inspiring and playful, but also calm and harmonious."
– Annika, Alban and Noam's mom

A low round table – a great vintage find painted in colour 'Vardo' from Farrow & Ball – sits in the middle of the room, allowing Alban and Noam to play and draw at a comfortable height.
The checkered rug is from Nordic Knots.

Den Fantastiske Bus, another Jakob Martin Strid classic, lies on the bed next to a knitted clown and a small Pimpel doll in colour berry.
The wooden wall lamps are vintage from Sweden with hand painted lamp shades made by Alvaro Picardo.

This is Alban and Noam's room: Handwritten name plates show their names on the door.

A large red mushroom lamp sits on the radiator cover, that is also used as a shelf. In front, a large wooden ball track with a soft bell that rings every time a ball passes and reaches the end.

A mushroom piggy bank is placed on the low table. Also seen here: A large wooden dice and a stackable highlighter set. Other pens and markers are stored in beautiful Akua glasses designed by Annika, Alban and Noam's mom.

A pin board is placed on either end of the room – one for each of the boys. This is where they keep personal notes, invitations and pictures. Colourful Stapelsteins are placed on the floor, ready for play as well as a Moomin Memory Game, that comes in a box looking like the Moomin House.

The sun shines through the large windows and reaches all the way to the door. On the handle hangs a blue tote, and on the bed sits a knitted clown.

Annika frequently travels to Italy for her glassware production. Each trip, she returns with a glass paperweight, now making up a small, beautiful collection. To the left, a warm and cosy large red mushroom lamp.

The round glass in the door has been designed by Annika, and custom made to fit the door. On the handle hangs butterfly wings and a large blue tote from Bonton.
