The Caravan Crib from the American brand Kalon Studios is an incredibly beautiful, simple and modern bed that fits into both neutral and colourful children's rooms.
The crib is produced in solid ash, which is a sturdy and strong wood that lasts for many years. Available in a raw version (for purists or those who want to apply their own finish), or an oiled version, where a light layer of oil adds protection to the wood while allowing the natural look of the wood to shine through.
The crib has a stable construction, two height settings for the mattress and complies with the highest European safety requirements for cribs. In addition, you can remove 2 sticks from one side, which provides a safe and good transition from crib to junior bed, where your child cannot roll out - but still can crawl in and out of bed through the opening. When it's time for a junior bed, either 1 or all 4 of the crib sides are easily removed, and the base of the bed is now a junior bed, ready for use.
With this bed, you get one piece of furniture that your child knows and loves, which can be used from birth and up to approx. 7 years old, or whenever a full-length bed is needed.
The bed is 100% sustainable and made of high quality, solid ash wood, and lacquered with a whitish lacquer that protects the surface and makes the bed easy to clean with a damp cloth.
Please note, mattress is not included. For mattresses, we suggest a medium-solid cold foam, which is recommended for babies and small children, in size 70 x 140 cm and with a height of about 6 cm.
